This dramatic apartment situated in Powai is inspired by pop art design.
pop art is an art form that dates back to the 50’s. This form of modern art is inspired by advertising campaigns, billboards and media. Brinda Palan design’s objective was to create a dynamic space using acid colours that blend with white and contrasting items together at the same time. The studio has used a selection of materials including wooden flooring, cut and patterned tiles, lacquered finishes and graphic art.
This apartment features a main door which is painted bright yellow and a bathroom door is neon orange which defines the vibe of the space. The studio has creatively restored the antique furniture and converted it into pop art furniture using clashing colours and printed fabric. The flamboyant chandelier above the dining table further enhances the space.
