Mahec Restaurant, Dubai (in Association with KNS Architects)

A royal mix of the architecture of India and Dubai is how we would describe the theme of Mahec, an Indian fine dine restaurant located in Dubai. We have brought in the calmness of blue and the bling of gold blended into the design of both- the indoor as well as outdoor spaces. Our design gives a glimpse of the theme from the moment one enters the restaurant gate, with the blue bottle fence alongside the wooden walkway being a welcome sight. The space has a majestic feel because of its double height ceiling and the addition of clerestory arched design windows that we treated with golden glass adds a vibrant contrast to the blue tiled walls. The community dining is a stone table with gold and blue chairs that flow with the theme. Efforts have been put in designing the spaces such as to divide them functionally to serve different dining experiences, as the restaurant serves as a bar and a club too, after dining hours.
